wow time has passed, and we have been really busy. I'm six months pregnant, Aaron just finished a semester in school, Jared is blossoming brilliantly in school, and Mary Jo had developed her mother's sass. This year has been busy and productive and wonderful. I really can't complain. We have been so blessed.

With Valentines Day come and gone (I was sick as a dog...Again....I know, lame right). I take a minute to look at Aaron. I mean really look at him. Aside from the fact that he is stunningly handsome, he is in a constant state of disarray. He doesn't ever take the time to do his hair, and all his clothes are from the eighties. He shaves maybe once a month and his handsome features spend a lot of time in dark reflection focused inward. He is considered broken by many standards. Unable to provide for his family. His body and mind in constant pain.
This man facing hell itself, takes my breath away. He has given everything for me. And sometimes I feel so unworthy of his love. He maybe sick and hurting but his love is the purest thing in my life. It is entirely untainted even though, we are surrounded by difficulty and doubt. I sit looking at him while he suffers feelings and depression and my heart brakes. It is so constant for him. It is too much. Yet through it all I find him able to still carry me. To give me tenderness and caresses. He does it all. I know of no one that resembles the Savior more in my life than this man. This amazing, strong, and selfless man.
I am so blessed. I don't deserve the love and the life of this man that I have been given.

Work is great! I love my new job. There are things to do all the time. Improvements are limitless, and working hard is such a blessing. I think that people really miss out on that simple principle. Hard work is one of the greatest blessings of my life. How else do we learn to appreciate all we have?

Update On Current Events

Well, howdy howdy howdy. It has been a while so I will take this opportunity to update our current status. Aaron's health has taken a big fat nose dive putting him out of commission until further notice. He is now our hand dandy stay at home dad, and I have resumed working at night. He is doing all he can to figure out his health but the next year or so we get to have him home. It's a little more stress on my part but Aaron has me on a strict regiment to keep my health up, so I'm happy. Hard work is a drug to me. I love filling my plate to overflowing so I'm in my element. As Aaron puts it, I'm built for hard labor.
Aaron is revealing himself to be an excellent cook and house keeper. The laundry was never so wrinkle free. He is the best part of my day to be honest. I love having him home all the time. It's like a permanent vacation. It's hard work but home life is lovely.
Jared is almost five and he starts school this fall. I can not believe it. I thought he would be my little boy forever. He gave his first family night lesson yesterday. I asked him what he wanted to talk about and he decided on food storage. Random, but what ever. He did a great job. He is now in CTR class in primary, so it means I am not allowed to kiss him or walk him to class. He gets mad if I try to plant a smooch on his face.
I still have to wonder at Jared's desperate attachment to Thomas the tank engine. I figured it was a phase but I swear he's turning into a train himself. EVERYTHING is trains.
Mary Jo has started folding her arms when we pray now. It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. She continues to display wild behavior common in her mother at the same age, but we love her all the more for her independence. She says huh-oh and dee-dees (for daddy) and she gives cute little kisses. She is also aware that a certain thrill comes from doing things she's not supposed to. If you tell her no, she hears, "Do it faster and with a big smile on your face."
I don't think I could manage so well if it wasn't for a great family. That includes extended family. On both sides we hear nothing but love and encouragement. Aren't families the greatest. I totally understand why they are at the center of the gospel plan. We are so lucky for brothers and sisters and parents and grandparents who accept us even though we are bizarrely backwards right now. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!! One day we will return the favors.

We woke up Saturday and decided hey, lets go to the Zoo. It was one of those days that you wish would never end. We surprised Jared and boy, was it a heavenly day. We didn't see any really animals except squirrel until our very last day! We were so excited to get this close to the buffalo. We took a bunch of pics and then got into our very messy and cluttered car to make the trek home. I put the camera away and got my seat belt on . As i looked up a bison came charging out of these bushes not ten feet front the car. It was totally Awesome to se it running. Such a big powerful beast of an animal. (A lot like my hubby) Anywho, he had gotten out of the gate and taking a gaunt down the road. I was so sad I didn't have my camera.

Snake river was first in our stop on Saturday. It was probably my favorite spot. It was stunning! I wanted to build a cabin there and live like a crazy mountain hippie!

Aaron let Jared have our old camera (that Sara was sweet enough to let us have) and he felt pretty darn special.

Here we are in the Tetons on our FIRST EVERY FAMILY CAMP OUT!! It was absolute heaven. OUr friend Jared convinced us that we were out of ideas and pushed us to drive the four hours to a gorgeous mountain range.

Aaron said that we murdered a Care Bear to make Mary Jo's coat.

Jared was in charge of the wood for our fire both days and he did a great job hiding them in weird places and making "train tracks" out of the smaller pieces. Arron was chef and cooked the yummiest ash filled pancakes i have ever had. He was always the first one out of the tent to get a warm fire going and get food ready. And in the freezing cold. And man, I forgot how cold the mountains get in the morning. Brrrr....

Goodness, I am so busy that I swear if I don't tie it down my head would fall off. But then you ask me what we have been up to these last two months and my brain can't think of a single thing. Maybe if I brake it down by family member it will jump start my memory.

For me, I have been busy babysitting a pair of cutie pies. Payton and Jaxson are two brothers, and boy are they bright and busy.

Payton is about 20 months old, and Jaxson is 9 months.

At first the kids were wary of each other, but within a week Mary Jo and Payton have become good little buddies.

I watch these two chubbies Monday through Friday from 7 to 6 everyday so it is a full time gig, but our house is so merry and full all day now. The kids spend most of their time playing and laughing and chasing each other. Now that Jaxson is crawling he loves to join the merriment. Yes, it is a mad house, but it's very rewarding.

Well besides being so darn good looking Aaron is working his butt off at work creating a better cleaner more renewable environment for us all. He spends all day the office, then he comes home and gives his children all the love and attention they could possibly need. He eats dinner, works on the computer some more and then goes to bed to do it all over again the next day. This is a Man. And nee neer he is my man!!

Isn't he charming? On the weekends he is a lot more free. He likes to study plants and vegetation to find new edible discoveries. One discovery was this tree right here. It is a wild plum tree. They are delicious.

My goodness where to start with this little whirlwind. Jared's amount of energy surpasses even my amazing childhood rampages. He has the ablity to screech higher than any human thought possible. He has also been known to reach speeds of over 60 miles an hour (especially when it is bed time. ) but beside physical speed and stamina, he has developed mentally at the same great speed. He can now read, and write, and count to twenty..(how does he say it)twenty fives. what else, what else, He has had some pretty great saying lately,"Mom, Mary Jo is not a boy and I'm glad." "Mom, my lips are crappy I need some crapstick." (we corrected that phrasing immediately.) Emotionally, he is also very invested. He takes every opportunity of being a great big brother. Jareds believes in tough love (tackles, tripping, and downright bear hugs) And I think that tough love is exactly what Mary Jo needs to be prepared for the world. Jared's hugs and mauling teach her that life is one big Jared-leave-me-alone!!!

This just in...the most beautiful baby in the world has offically graced the planet with her presence. For years scientists and mothers alike have claimed that their off spring is the most beautiful baby. Generations have passed away with debates and unanswered questions as to who really takes the cake . Well, the debate has come to an end. The votes are in and the scientific world has confirmed that the world's most beautiful child was born Wednesday October 8, 2008 at 9:45 pm.
Mary Jo Cook weighed 7 pounds 3 ozs and was 19 inches of absolute perfection. A lovely crop of dark brown hair stands on end. Researchers wept with pure angelic joy at the sight of such flawless effort of grace and beauty! Her mother known only has the balooga whale due to unprecedented amounts of lard gained during pregnancy, commented only that she "knew that Mary Jo was destined for greatness even at such an early age." Mary Jo has yet to be seen in the public eye due to the blinding force of the love she generates but the press was allowed these few photos. They only give you a glimpse at her true magesty.

So Jared is 3....a couple months ago, but we finally got the pics on to our computer. So here we are. As you can see all of Jared's gorgoeus locks are cut short to reveal a great round head inherited from his mum. Jared cut his own hair and we had to shave his head. SOMETHING I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN!!
Anywho, Jared is all about the trains right now. Train everything. So for his birthday we did a train theme. I even got creative and made blue train pancakes for breakfast but I wil spare your stomachs and not show you a pic. blah.
After breakfast we had a wild party at the union station where jared got to look at a bunch of trains up close and personal!
It was fun...and...hot...and slightly exhaustiung so we all went home and took a nap!! That is when the real party started.
Oh for those who don't know, Jared broke his collarbone two weeks before his birthday. Happy birthday Jare-bear.
He was "supposed" to be taking a nap at grandmas house, but was jumping on the bed instead. Well, you know how cordinated 3 year olds are. All of the sudden we hear this hard thud!!! and a very high pitched scream. We go running back there and jared was laying on the floor still as a board crying.
Now, if you have met my father you understand that he has the biggest heart in the world. You also know that sometimes, he gets a little overexcited. Well seeing his grandson on the floor jump kicked his big heart which, by coincidence, is connected to his take-it-to-another-level button. That pulls down the save-my-grandson-at-any-cost lever, which in turn opens the floodgate we like to call dad-really-red-in-the-face-yelling-for-an-ambulance.
He stood over Jared yelling orders for immediate action whilst the rest of us stood there like cows with our mouths full of straw. Needless to say this threw Jared into histericks and he started sobbing even harder. but let's be fair Grandpa knew what he was talking baout.
We got Jared to the hospital and amid screams of terror and absolute exhaustion we were able to get some x-rays. Sure enought it was broken. Jared is all better now but we had a loing couple weeks!!!

Every once in a while I come across a book that is really astonishing. This is one of those books. I just finished reading it and find myself looking at reading it again. It is a big strawberry milkshake for the soul. I adored it. It talks about a nurses journey to through a really revolutionary time period in the medical field. It is a treasure trove of delicious baby birthing stories that will make you laugh, think, sigh and sob. Oh it is sooo yummy. I recommend this book to EVERYONE!
Also since I plan on birthing my baby at home I wanted my family to see just why I chose to completely push out the hospital as a part of my pregnancy and delivery. So if you are one of the members of my family scratching your head at my decision here is an opportunity for you to kinda get an idea of why I choose a natural birth. It's REALLLY GOOOOD even if you are a major advocate of a delivery with complete medical procedure.
I hope that you guys will read this.

The Legacy continues in the smallest of the cook menfolk. I found this tonight and couldn't resist putting it up even though it is five months old. Jared really displays the strength and power that only a "SUPER" guy can posses. We went to a trunk-or-treat with Grandma and picked of loads of candy!!!! ALL FOR JARED.....hehehe... and then watched corpse bride and had pizza. Wild night! One of our best. For those who don't know Aaron's true nature, the outfit Jared is wearing is an exact replica of Aaron's crime fighting days. From Goggles to socks Jared reflects the man that is just dying to get out from behind Aaron's grown-up facade. If you look around Jared's neck there is indeed a picture of Aaron striking a pose that can only be described as Magnificent. (For all men out there reading this let this be a warning. Your women will swoon at the sight of this Hunky Stance so I suggest you cover their eyes. It is not for the faint of heart!)

Next to my studdly son is another hero that graced the Trunk-or-treat with crime fighting courage. Superman swooped in to have a contest with little Superguy. "How many pieces of candy can you stuff in your mouth before mom catches you"... It was a tie!

All in all an evening of super strength and super cavities. Heaven Bless HALLOWEEN!

Like an idiot I forgot to get a picture of the living room as you come into the house, but here is the dining room. The whole upstairs has the newly refinished hardwood flooring and the Chandeliers come with the house. What's even better is that the electrical system has been completely redone. Thank heavens because it was built in 1936. Don't you love the windows. the drapes and such come with the house!

This is the first part of the kitchen. If you notice the doorway on the left, it kinda splits the kitchen in two. I think the light above the sink is spiffy! Also the flooring is brand new. It is called cork boarding and it is a new thing. (Aaron has it at his work) It is basically indestructible and made by recycled material so Aaron really loves it.

Here is the first basement bedroom which will be occupied by my chubby little boo! We already have the white paint (thanks to our wonderful mommy cook) so that Jared won't have to live in a pink room. I love that the windows are level even though this is the basement.

These are some storage space in the basement. The top door is the laundry chute that comes from upstairs. Charming huh! I never though I'd have a laundry chute. The pic below is of the open space downstairs. The open door leads to the last room in the basement; the nursery but I forgot to get pics. Sorry! We also get the drapes downstairs also!

These are the doorknobs. They are on all the doors and they are the originals from 1936. I LOVE THAT!! Well, this is our house. We move in about 3 weeks and I am tickled pink. Life is absolutely delicious. Feel free to call and chat about it. LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Okay nothing in this world comes even close to the absolute charm that you are now viewing. We thought we would do family pics before we cut all those curls off. After much deliberating we decided to go with a mo-hawk. So we shaved the sides and use ALOT of mousse to give it that nice sticking straight up look. It goes perfectly with that earning he got last week-end . It was the guys night now, but what can you say boys will be boys!!

Here we are in our English Country Manor. The Fence we are sitting on is the very same that Elizabeth Bennett hopped over on her outings each day. It was about 45,000 dollars to relocate it to our estate but hey that is pocket change with Aaron's BIG FAT RAISE!!! Yup, last Friday my sexy man came home with a big smile on his face and a 5,000 dollar (ok 5.00) pay increase. Isn't he amazing!!?? Now we can afford that indoor glow in the dark lazer tag gymnasium we have always wanted!

You can't tell but Jared's little fist is in the process of swinging into and shattering the three feet thick glass, freeing the poor enslaved Seals. He succeeded in guiding four seals to the ocean before authorties could properly get him into custody. Luckily since his parents are billionaires, Jared's jail time was minimal.
